Lynchburg Housing Partnership
LYNCHBURG HOUSING PARTNERSHIP
In an effort to combine resources and accomplish significant change in the deteriorating neighborhoods of Lynchburg, LNDF and six other housing non-profits, Lynchburg Redevelopment and Housing Authority, the City, and Lynchburg College formed a coalition that began working in a pilot site in College Hill. After two years, significant resources have gone into the nine square blocks of the pilot site, resulting in new and repaired homes. Support from several churches and congregations extended the scope of work that the partnership could accomplish. More than one-half of the properties in the pilot site have been addressed and each of the partners has participated. LNDF is the coordinating partner.
